A Comissão Parlamentar de Inquérito (CPI) da Violência contra Jovens Negros e Pobres realiza debate nesta terça-feira (30), às 14h30, sobre redução da maioridade penal. A proposta que reduz a maioridade de 18 para 16 anos nos casos de crimes hediondos, homicídio e roubo qualificado (PEC 171/93) poderá ser votada também nesta terça-feira, no Plenário da Câmara.
Entre os temas a serem debatidos pela CPI está o estudo do Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas Aplicadas (Ipea) sobre violência contra jovens negros no Brasil.
“O referido estudo calculou, para cada estado do País, os impactos de mortes violentas na expectativa de vida de negros e não negros. Analisou, ainda, em que medida as diferenças nos índices de mortes violentas podem estar relacionadas a disparidades econômicas, demográficas e ao racismo”, explica o deputado Dr. Jorge Silva (Pros-ES), um dos que solicitaram o debate.
Foram convidados:
– o ministro da Justiça, José Eduardo Cardozo;
– a secretária nacional de Segurança do Ministério da Justiça, Regina Miki;
– o ouvidor da Secretaria de Políticas de Promoção da Igualdade Racial, Carlos de Souza e Silva Júnior;
– o representante do Movimento Hip Hop Genival Oliveira Gonçalves (GOG);
– o presidente da Comissão da Verdade da Escravidão Negra, da Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil, Humberto Adami; e
– o diretor de Estudos e Políticas do Estado das instituições e da Democracia do Ipea, Daniel Cerqueira.
A audiência será realizada no plenário 9.
